reaching for sun

poetical sounds

alone in this cold, we are like children
within grasp of snow underneath sheets…
shivering… shuddering, how the nervous
weather wrapped us up in its blanket even
though i wished for your body to shield me
from the winter in this room where dwells
no heat, ignorant of warmth; its blinded
windows hide us and together we are
concealed from the world of passersby who
know nothing of our held hands, eclipsed
kisses that made the moon blush red.
timeless we are sprawled across the floor,
unrushed, though we ourselves are in no hurry
but the cold presses us and inevitably we
are pushed in the dark reaching for sun
