evaporate

i thought i lay secure in
your walls on solitary nights
whose shadows each tremble
at the brief sight of me
without you nearby, as if
the very heart of this
insecurity blushes upon
my cheeks, embarrassed
suddenly at my singularity,
hiding behind bricks no
longer there and even this
image of us start to
evaporate… what am i
to show for then in
this dissolution
