Your Love

What would it take for you to read this love, my love, your love? Easter comes and I reflect not on myself, but this love. Love, love, love. We have drowned ourselves in its sweetness before, do we then dare to wallow in its bitterness?

be love
as I’ve none
be quick
as I’m slow
in these moments
like an ant,
will I simply
follow and
bear my share
of the possible?
or will I strike
like an eagle,
upon my wings
carry what is
impossible?
for I have been
jealous before…
your love, your
love, your love…
i want it all
without end or
beginning; the
only time I shall
be selfish is
when I have you
beside
