My Love, My Christ

I know that I have the other blog, but this one… these are the spontaneous creations from the heart whose description lies sometimes not in passion, but in the action. What we are capable in seeing in one another. To see each other for what we really are, to see the goodness, the root of that goodness in the people that we see everyday; to be able to humble ourselves enough and really see.

I remember watching The Piano and how the daughter says that she’s struck dumb. I feel the same, dumbfounded, that is, about what people do for the sake of advancement, for being ahead. The shallow things that are executed for the sake of getting ahead. I’ve seen so many forms of it that it would be easy to become jaded, but nowadays, I recognize them to be blessings. A blessing in disguise. Amazing how we are moved on this earth by a simple nudge of grace. What we call misfortunes are really that gift inside that modest cookie (think Chinese). And to be guided towards that answer, that peace inside of us is to realize how much we are truly loved.

If it were meant
then you would be open
a lifetime I sought you
behind curtains,
backdoors leading into
kitchens, tables where
I kneaded you (I need
you now more than
ever) and where I might
have been blind– in you
I saw my Christ
